The checklist
- 1. You can name at least one task your team repeats every week.
- 2. That task follows roughly the same steps each time.
- 3. The information it needs lives somewhere digital: email, a CRM, spreadsheets or documents.
- 4. You use software that has modern connections, or can export data.
- 5. Someone owns the process and can say what “done right” looks like.
- 6. You know roughly how many hours the task takes each week.
- 7. Mistakes in the task are fixable, or you are willing to add a review step.
- 8. Your team is open to trying a new way of working.
- 9. You are willing to start with one process instead of everything at once.
- 10. You can give feedback during the first few weeks while the system is tuned.
How to read your score
- Eight or more: you are ready. Pick the most painful task and start.
- Five to seven: you are close. The gaps are usually about getting information into one place, which is often step one of the project anyway.
- Under five: start with AI training for the team and clean up one process first.
