Start with where your team works
If your company runs on Google Workspace, Gemini is built into the tools you already use. If you run on Microsoft 365, Copilot is. That convenience matters more than most benchmark differences.
ChatGPT and Claude are both strong general assistants that work well alongside either suite.
Questions to ask
- Does it connect to the tools and files we already use?
- What do the business plans say about how our data is used and stored?
- Can we manage accounts, permissions and billing centrally?
- How well does it handle our real tasks: writing, analysis, documents, code?
Test with your own work
Pick five real tasks your team does every week. Run each one through the tools you are considering and compare the results side by side. This takes an afternoon and tells you more than any review.
The tool is the easy part
Most teams that are disappointed with AI picked a fine tool and never trained anyone to use it well. A short training session with real prompts for your real work usually matters more than which assistant you choose.
For workflows that should run on their own, the assistant you chat with is only part of the answer. Agents and automations can use the best model for each job behind the scenes.
